We are looking to form girls-only teams from the start of next season (September 2022). \u00a0We are currently recruiting and running weekly training sessions every Saturday morning. \u00a0The sessions start at 11am and are held at Valence Park, Becontree Avenue, Dagenham.<\/p>\n
\nWe are looking for girls of ages 7 to 16. \u00a0Although girls can play in mixed football, our aim is to specifically establish girls-only teams. \u00a0With almost 3 million active female players, football is the biggest women’s team sport in England, but there is still room for more people to get involved.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Although we have been running our Wildcats for girls sessions for over the last 12 months, it is now our objective to establish mini-soccer and youth teams for girls. Mini-soccer is the appropriate introduction to playing competitive football for young girls. Girls in teams from U7\u2013 U10 do not play in leagues, they play 5v5 or 7v7 small sided football, with lots of touches of the ball.<\/p>\n
In youth teams, aimed at ages 11 to 16, girls get the chance to play weekly competitive football in from 7v7, 9v9 to 11v11.<\/p>\n
